What do I need to webcast my wedding?
Your basic requirements are very simple. You need (1) A video camera (2) Windows compatible computer (3) basic high-speed internet connection. See detailed technical specs here.
How much does it cost for a wedding webcast?
Webcasting packages start at just $495. This allows you to get your video online for up to 100 viewers! Additional costs you should consider through Vowcast.com are video shooting services, equipment rental, and portal additions (Vowcast Guest book, Gift Registry Linking, Photo Album).
How many people can logon and watch my wedding online?
By default your Vowcast is limited to 100 player connections (some connections may be shared by multiple viewers in the same location). If you need larger viewing access, we have additional plans available.
Will the video be available online after my wedding? How long?
After your wedding, we take your edited (or unedited) video footage and re-digitize to a higher quality video stream and upload to our streaming media servers so you and your family can access for 30 days after the wedding. To keep your Vowcast up longer, a small monthly fee may apply.
How can I know how many people watched?
With the basic Vowcast package, you will receive a report of the number of connections to your video stream. To gather more information, we recommend adding a Guest book to your Vowcast.
What if our church/location doesn't have an internet connection?
Even if your venue does not offer high speed internet connections, you may still be able to Vowcast your wedding. Your options may include a lower quality broadcast over a dial-up internet connection or a wireless broadband option through one of the major cell phone carriers. Because each situation is different, we recommend calling us and one of our streaming video engineers will be happy to contact the technical staff at your venue to discuss your best options.
How long can my wedding webcast be?
The basic packages include a live broadcast with a maximum length of 4 hours. If you have special circumstances that require a longer broadcast, we can arrange for that for an additional fee.
